WE ARE NATURE. WE ARE STARDUST is the first in a series of life-centered design retreats featuring Bruce Mau and Bisi Williams of the Massive Change Network in Santa Fe, New Mexico. April 16-19, 2026.
Co-hosted by Ted Harrison of Commonweal Conservancy and Barb Groth of the Nomadic School of Wonder, this invitation-only retreat welcomes an extraordinary group of wondermakers -- naturalists, designers, scientists, artists, entrepreneurs and community leaders to study and practice the values and principles of life-centered design.
Mau and Williams are cofounders of the Massive Change Network – a design studio that works with leaders to envision an abundant future and accelerate massive, sustainable change and positive impact for their organizations and the planet.
"When we put all of life — not just humans — at the center, we can begin to solve our problems in context and incorporate the ecosystems that sustain us. We can accelerate positive change. The true nature of how the world operates isn't through competition but through cooperation. We need to work the way that nature works!"
- Bruce Mau, MC24
WE ARE NATURE. WE ARE STARDUST will be held at Rancho Gallina, an eco-retreat situated on a historic ranch, 30 minutes from downtown Santa Fe. Beautifully appointed casitas, open air meeting spaces, and farm-to-table dining will ensure our time in learning and practice is comfortably housed and generously fed.
Over the course of the retreat, we’ll spend time exploring the grasslands and rock grottos of the Galisteo Basin Preserve. It’s a landscape that Commonweal Conservancy has dedicated the past 22 years to ensuring its permanent protection and service as a laboratory for community-based environmental learning.
Our April 16-19, 2026, retreat of life-centered design learning, nature-based exploration, and awe-infused adventures is limited to a small group of 24 open, passionate, and curious nomads. Early Bird Tuition for this life-centered design retreat is $2,400 per person if your participation is secured by January 16, 2026.
Accommodations at Rancho Gallina range from $650-$1100 for three nights and four days, based on single or double occupancy. Rooms on-site are limited, however, for this intimate gathering.
To secure your place in this powerfully engaging, playful, and impactful workshop, click through to the payment site noted herein. A $500 refundable deposit is all that’s required at this time. After January 16, 2026, we’ll circle back to participants to solicit everyone’s accommodation preferences and invoice accordingly.
We look forward to having you with us for an extraordinary four-day workshop that includes Bruce Mau, Bisi Williams, Barb Groth, Ted Harrison, and an inspired cohort of international wondermakers!
