The East Preserve is a collection of four equestrian homesteads in the Galisteo Basin Preserve. The homestead properties are distinguished by their sweeping views of the Galisteo Basin, Cathedral Hill, Cerro Pelon, and the Sangre de Cristo Mountains.

Each property enjoys immediate access to the Preserve’s network of hiking, biking, and equestrian trails. The equestrian community adjoins thousands of acres of Galisteo Basin Preserve open space—all within 20 minutes of Santa Fe via US Highway 285.

Carefully sited to respect the region’s scenic, ecological, and cultural resources, the homesteads of the East Preserve are designed to reinforce the conservation values and purposes of the surrounding Galisteo Basin Preserve.

Location

The East Preserve is located approximately 1.5 miles south of the Galisteo Basin Preserve entrance at US Highway 285 and Astral Valley Road—approximately 20 minutes from Santa Fe. The equestrian homesteads are accessible from Thornton Ranch Road.
