The East Preserve is a collection of three 160-acre equestrian homesteads in the Galisteo Basin Preserve that are characterized by sweeping views of the southern Galisteo Basin, Cathedral Hill, Cerro Pelon, and the Sangre de Cristo Mountains.

Each property offers immediate access to the Preserve’s network of hiking, biking, and equestrian trails and is embraced by thousands of acres of Galisteo Basin Preserve open space—all within 20 minutes of Santa Fe via US Highway 285.

Carefully sited to respect the region’s scenic, ecological, and cultural resources, each home site’s 1- to 3-acre building area can accommodate a single-family home, a guest house, and a barn.

Location

Embraced by the grasslands of the eastern Galisteo Basin Preserve, the East Preserve properties are approximately 1.5 miles south of the Preserve entrance at US Highway 285 and Astral Valley Road—roughly 20 minutes from Santa Fe. They are located along Thornton Ranch Road.
